Georgia  #41-1

Girl, Born June 13, 2002
Main diagnosis: Hydrocephalus with implanted shunt.

Georgia likes playing both alone and with other children. She actively joins the organized group games, activities and events. She loves watching movies and children’s theater perform. She comprehends and makes use of frequently used and easy-to-understand words of generalized meaning. She recognizes her shapes, numbers and letters. She participates in class and is eager to learn. She is cheerful and sociable.  She needs some individual and purposeful attention, which will lead to the establishment of a wholesome relation, overall support and possibility to obtain real self-assessment.

Additional photos of Georgia are available along with a very comprehensive multi-page report on her development and medical history (including the report on her shunt surgery).

Carson  (48)

BOY, Born April 17, 2003

So happy to see have updates on this boy!  Carson was listed with us several years ago, and we lost touch with his orphanage.   He is already 7, and still living at the baby house.   Carson is a very very smart and functional boy!  He has light brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes.   He was born with congenital epidermolysis bullosa.  He absolutely needs improved medical care and a loving family!!

From his caregivers:  Carson is the size of a 4-5 year old. Understands absolutely everything but cannot talk since his tongue muscle is not working (cicatricial sclerosis?), the tongue accreted to lower palate because of emersed vesicles. Needs plastic surgery of tongue. Very nice boy.

EB is not an easy condition to deal with, but Carson is so smart and will make such a wonderful son.  He has a glowing personality and will do great in a family of his own.

Artem
Date of Birth : March 2003
Gender : Male
Eyes: Brown
Hair: brown
Character: active, sociable

From a missionary who visited with him recently:  "  Artyem is blind.  He was born in March 2003.  He is a very social boy and my name reminded him of some poem/song so he started singing it over and over to me.  He likes to be held and a lot of contact.  He gave me the impression of being smart as he felt my entire face, nose, ears, hair, everything to try to get a picture of what I looked like.  I think he would learn English really fast.  We were trying to color these things we were putting together (and even though he couldn't see it I was trying to help him so it just wouldn't be blank when put up with the other kids).  He didn't want to color it but just put it together and I said you need to color it first.  He started repeating in English to me over and over.....you need to color it first, you need to color it first.  "

Alexander G.
Date of Birth : April 2002
Gender : Male
Eyes: Brown
Hair: blond
Character: active, sociable

From a missionary who visited with him:  "This is  Alexander, and they call him Sasha.  His birthday is April 2002.  I would say his personality seemed happy, cheerful and sociable from the little contact I had with him.  I did send an email to my friends that worked with his group to get their opinion since they spent several hours with him for a week.  I know he has a brain tumor that is supposedly treatable U.S, but the treatment is expected to be lengthy.  He has been treated some in Russia and was in the hospital in the spring for more treatment.

He’s a very lovable kid and very smart.  He remembers people and things that they say and he is very in tune with how sick he is.  He understands and comprehends a lot for his age.  He loves to dance and get one on one attention (what kid doesn’t?)  He’s sensitive and his feelings get hurt easily.    Sasha is concerned about others.  He always asks how you or someone in the group is doing.  He is very outgoing, not shy at all.  He loves to sing songs and recite poems for you, and he knows so many!

Sasha loves individual attention.  You are special to him and he wants to feel that he is special to you also.   Simply put, he is a loving little boy who is such a pleasure to spend time with.   One more thing:  I have lots of pictures of Sasha and some videos of him singing and reciting poems.
It would be SO WONDERFUL if he could get adopted and get proper treatment in the USA.

Silas has already been trasnferred to the institution, and will remain bedridden the rest of his life is he is not adopted soon.

Please consider Silas!

Ozzie # 23-1

Boy, DOB: July 03, 2004
Main diagnosis:  clinically healthy and in good general condition with neuropsychological delays.

Ozzie just turned 6 years old and is doing very well. He is physically healthy and does not have any physical delays. Despite initial delays in motor skills, he can now walk, run, climb and jump. He was born with hydrocephaly but it is not currently developing.
Ozzie does have developmental delays, most of which are a result of living in an orphanage his entire life. He was just tested in June 2o10 and psychological testing indicates that he has borderline mild mental delays. However, test scores from 2009 and 2010 show significant improvements in scores.
Ozzie can count to 10 independently, has speech skills appropriate for his age, understands everything that is said to him and follows verbal directions. He can name all of his body parts, sing along with songs and participates in games with other children. He undresses himself independently and is learning to dress himself, eats independently and is potty trained.

Neenah

Girl, Born November 12, 2004
Neenah has been described as "a little princess wrapped in innumerable veils".  Her mother was schizophrenic and cognitively delayed.  She has shown great improvement in the last several months with a new nurse who really works with her, and has seen such progress in many areas of her development.  Everyone feels she will really come out of her shell in a loving family environment with correct medication and disgnosis.  She attends preschool and is able to walk on her own.  She loves to spend time outside and she enjoys music as well.   She understands directions, is loving and affectionate, and likes to give hugs and kisses to her friends.  She is free and clear for international adoption!  FULL MEDICAL RECORDS AVAILABLE.

Alicia  (11)

Girl, Born 2004

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

Miss Alicia is a beautiful little girl who needs a loving family.  Her other two typically developing sisters were adopted by other families already.

Alicia was born to an HIV+ mother, and is HIV+ herself.  She has also has significant delays and challenges associated with her FAS.  (fetal alcohol syndrome).  We are waiting to learn if she has any medical complications, but she is cognitively delayed and does show signs of attention deficit and hyperactivity.    Alicia will do best where she can be the focus of attention and have her Daddy wrapped around her finger :)    Alicia has SO much potential, and deserves a family as much as her other sisters do.   I know there is a family out there for this little girl!  She is facing the mental institution soon, but has grown up in a loving and well kept orphanage so far.  A committed family now can prevent her transfer!

From an adoptive family who visited with her in July 2010: Alicia absolutely LOVES one on one attention. she is front and center if you are handing out kisses and hugs. You can see she wants a Mama all her own, and it will be so hard on her to have her sister leave to be adopted, as her other sister was already adopted.   (Their mother is deceased, most likely from AIDS).   She likes to swing.   She loved to lay her head in my lap while we were both on the bench swing and I would stroke her hair. The other kids didnt like to share my attention but Alicia was ok with it.   I could have two in my lap and she didn't mind, but she didnt like being crowded out when the other child decided they wanted me all to themselves.  She likes sensory input.   She kept rubbing her arm across my husband's unshaved face and shivering and making the funniest face and then immediately doing it again.  She likes to go down the slide again and again.   She really likes to be in the  middle of whatever is going on, and be included. But often she is excluded, even by attendants.  For Alicia it's a vicious circle. She is delayed, she gets frustrated, they don't let her do things the others are doing, she gets more delayed and more frustrated. She is VERY VERY SWEET AND LOVING.  She needs a family that has only a couple kids, not ten. She has HIV.   If you want a little girl to hug and kiss, she will GLADLY take all the hugs and kisses you can hand out. She isn't afraid of men but isn't inappropriate either. I saw her with my husband as well as another couple of young men who visit regularly.  Alicia is on the small side, like maybe size 4.  The children are valued and loved at this orphanage.   The grounds are visually stimulating and the kids get outside for a couple hours in the morning as well as afternoon.   They even go swimming in the pool they have there.   Hope someone will come for Alicia very soon!"

MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE, MARRIED COUPLES ONLY

Tray

Boy, Born April 14, 2002
Main Diagnosis: Developmental Delays

Tray is classified as severely developmentally delayed.

His receptive language is very good, but his expressive language is delayed for his age. He can speak using 2 syllable words and knows the names of his caregivers and uses them appropriately.

His fine motor skills are developing, along with his attention span when doing tasks. He pays attention during drawing and art projects. He loves to ride on the tricycle, motor activities and ball games (sounds like he’s ALL boy!). He enjoys music games and obeys the rules during activities. He is eating independently, dresses and undresses by himself, washes his own face, brushes his teeth and buttons his jacket. He is toilet trained during the day.

Emotionally, he has a strong need to establish contact with adults. He plays with other children, but really prefers to have one-on-one attention from a caregiver.
He has many “orphan behaviors” that stem from years spent in an institutional living situation
 (seeking out physical touch and tactile stimulation; taking too much food, particularly sweets;
craves the attention of adults and prefers that over other children).

Additional photos of Tray are available.

Nolan  (4)

Boy, Born September 9, 2004

Nolan is such a handsome boy!  He will be transferred shortly to the older child internat, but he needs a loving family!

From his medical records:  long-term effects of some early trauma, slight mental delay, flat feet, farsightedness. He has fine motor skills, understands everything, he talks but it is hard to understand him.  Nolan is very physically active, happy and cooperative, friends with other children.

Marya

Girl, Born August 28, 2001
Main Diagnosis: Developmental delays, Celiac Disease

Marya has Celiac disease. She is under the care of a gastroenterologist.
She is developmentally delayed. She communicates by simple sentences, gestures and mimicking the actions of others. Speech is her greatest area of delay. She does understand what is said to her and can follow directions.  She  learns best by following routines, repetition and modeling. She has difficulty understanding new skills unless they are repeated frequently.
She loves to play with dolls and can mimic the actions of feeding them, changing their diapers, etc.
She enjoys receiving praise and will do things in order to get praise and positive attention from care givers. Because of this, she prefers individual activities with an adult, in an effort to get the attention that she seeks. She does participate in group activities with the other children but will be rude to them when she is frustrated or doesn’t understand something.  She loves to dress nicely, look at herself in the mirror, put on jewelry, etc. and socializing with her peers is becoming more important to her as she gets older. She eats independently and dresses herself.

Additonal photos of Marya are available.

Selina

Girl, DOB: February 20, 2000

Eastern Europe

Selina has been diagnosed with hyperkinetic syndrome. She is also significantly cognitively delayed. She can walk, feed herself and has good receptive language skills. She follows verbal instructions and has limited speech. She is a beautiful little girl who will soon have to be transferred due to her age.
She is in a country with a very easy process and very low expenses.
Additional photos and a short video clip are available

From a staff member who met Selina in April 2010:  Selina is a very clever little girl! I observed her and interacted with her during lunch time. At first, I thought that she must not like her food because every time the care giver turned her back, Selina would put spoonfuls of her food on the plate of the child beside her. Once her plate was cleaned off (she put every single bit of it on the other child’s plate over the course of about 10 minutes), I realized why she had really done it. The kids were given bread once their plate was clean and she apparently really wanted the bread! She took her bread happily and ate it and we had a good laugh about how clever Miss Selina was to get the food that she really wanted! She was happy and cooperative during our entire visit. She followed verbal instructions and interacted appropriately with the staff.

Ali #12-2

Igor  (35)

BOY, Born November 26, 2004

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

This handsome young man is another of a growing number of children who were born with arthrogryposis.

His hands seem to be unaffected, but he is unable to walk at this time.  He is described as very loving and affectionate and friendly!

Igor is facing the institution and will remain bedridden for the rest of his life...he needs a family like you!

Matvey  (4)

Boy, Born August 28, 2004

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

Matvey is such a cute little boy, with blonde curls!   He is cognitively delayed, but does not seem to have any official diagnosis other than that.  He has amazing potential!!   He is already 3 1/2 and will be transferred to the institution after the summer.  Please give this little guy a chance to fulfill his potential!    One of our own adoptive families who visited with him in March 2008 shared this with us:  "  This little guy did NOT want to be photographed!  He was quite happy doing whatever he was doing before being brought into the room but having his picture taken was not high on his priority list.  He has “deep mental delay†(understand that this is according to Eastern European standards—he was more aware and alert than a child with Down syndrome might be at the same age).  I can’t tell you his eye color because he down-right refused to look at me, but those blonde curls sure were cute!

Inna (23)

Girl, Born June 25, 2002
SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

You'd think Inna was Armenian, but she isn't!  :)   Gorgeous girl with dark hair and deep, dark eyes.  She was born with club feet and congenital hip dysplasia.  She does have FAS, we are working to learn if she has any learning delays.  Beautiful girl who so desperately needs a loving family surgery for her feet, and the encouragement she needs to be the best she can!

From her medical records:  Congenital right-sided clubfoot, incomplete dislocation of hips, malformation of first lumbar vertebra, compression of spinal cord, flail legs, walking malfunction, bladder ears, neurogenic bladder two-sided megaloureter, chronic pyelonephritis, slight mental delay, the girl can walk.

Kiersten   (1)

Girl, Born April 1, 2000

Isn't Kiersten beautiful?  She is nearly 10 years old but is still very much a toddler.   She is not able to walk on her own.  There is nothing in her medical records to indicate why she is so delayed, and she does not show obvious facial features of any other common conditions.

From her medical records: significant mental delay, congenital hypothyroidism

As with all children living in these difficult conditions,  this child's cognitive development has regressed significantly since he/she was younger.  It is of crucial importance that any family considering the adoption of an older child from the mental institution setting be well prepared for what to expect with regards to how the neglect and lack of adequate medical care and nourishment has affected this child.    These children all have TREMENDOUS potential for improvement, and deserve to have a life outside these four walls.

These children are truly living on borrowed time, and families should be home study approved before an official commitment can be made for this child.

Lauren   (1)

Girl, Born January 22, 2002

Lauren says "HI Mama!!  I'm here waiting for you!"  (in this photo she is riding a rocking horse!)

Lauren is a super-sweet and active little girl.  She is very social and affectionate, and will do well in a family setting.

From her medical records: achondroplasia

Marat (3)

Boy, Born June 1998

From our facilitator who visited with him:   He is diagnosed  with III stage of HIV.  But a strange thing by the fact he is very healthy, practically never ill.  Has very high IQ. One missionary gifted him a notebook (computer), he doesn't leave the gift anywhere. He is a very talented  student of the 4 level.

Marat has a very sad and painful life story, one that can be shared with prospective families privately.  He really wants and needs a loving family, and will do SO WELL in that environment!

***Marat is also an OLDER CHILD, and will be on the streets with nothing if he is not adopted.  He will never be able to get a job because no one will hire him.  His "orphan and HIV status" will follow him the rest of her life.  Please give Marat a chance to grow up in the Land of Opportunity and inclusion. ***

Look at that pretty smile!  Light brown hair and big brown eyes, Diana is waiting for her forever family.  She was born with mucoviscidosis (cystic fibrosis) and has a pancreatic deficiency.   We are waiting on more info about any possible medications or treatments that she takes for this, and about her prognosis medically.

However, she is described as a smart and delightful girl.  She is active and friendly and will do well in a loving family environment.  She deserves the opportunity to live out her life at HOME, with opportunities to succeed outside of her orphanage.
    Berkeley  (36)
    Girl, Born October 22, 2003

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

What a stunning, happy little girl!  Berkeley has long blonde hair and beautiful brown eyes.    She was born with clubbed feet, but is able to walk holding on to a fence or hands or the wall.  She is very determined and tries to do everything on her own.  Surgery and therapy could change this little girl's life!

Berkeley does have strabismus (crossed eye), her records indicate hydrocephaly, but she certainly seems to be doing fine and not showing any signs of cognitive difficulty from that.  She also has hypoplasia of her right kidney.
From her medical records:  The girl had spinal hernia like little Alexei who was adopted recently from Antoshka, the hernia was successfully operated, that is why the girl can walk now.   As the result of that hernia the girl has incontinence of urine.   Hydrocephaly.   She has shunt in the brain which should be there for few more years.   She is very kind and loving and has lots of friends. "

Berkeley has SO much potential, and will do so well in a loving family environment!

    Marjan

    Boy, Born June 28, 2001

    Eastern Europe

Marjan is a healthy, active little boy. He has been living with a foster family since 2006 and is doing very well in this setting. He loves to play outside. He has meaningful communication and his speech is fully developed. He eats and sleeps well. He is a happy and pleasant child. His foster family reports that he is hyper and needs supervision because of this. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and takes medicine twice a day for this. He had hip surgery when he was younger and favors it on occasion. He also tires sometimes and his stamina gives out.  He is a healthy, active boy that is doing very well in a family environment with his foster family.

From a staff member that visited with Marjan in April 2010: Marjan is a typical little boy. He is happy, good natured and very active. He is very attached to his foster brother. He speaks very well and his foster mother reported that he is doing well in school. He is considered to have mild developmental delays. He was charming, engaged us in conversation, was attentive and basically just acted like a typical 8 year old. He showed us his sense of humor by playing games with us and we all had a good laugh when we were trying to get him to make a funny face for the camera. He did appear a little shy and was quiet at first until he warmed up to us. Again, this was very age appropriate behavior. His foster mother and brother bragged on him and how well he is doing. His brother indicated that Marjan enjoys playing on the computer, talking on the phone and playing outside. They reiterated that Marjan is very active and has some impulse control issues. The medication that he takes seems to have helped. He has clearly demonstrated the ability to learn and has adapted to their family very well.

Medical report, additional photos and a video clips of Marjan are available.
    Emmitt
    Boy, Born January 26, 1998

Emmitt is a sweet boy.  He is living in one of the mental institutions, and has been for many years, yet he remains sweet, intelligent, and kind.  Ttwo of our adopting families met him while they were there, and are pleading for a family to save him.

From his medical records:  myelomeningocele  (spina bifida)

From one of our adoptive families:  " Emmitt has a severe deformity of his legs.  He cannot walk at all.  He is very friendly, funny, and talkative. He desperately seeks out attention.  He was talking to my husband, and holding Zack's hand, which he then put on top of his head for Zack to rub his hair.  He is extremely intelligent, and just precious!  I brought him paper and crayons, and he drew me a flower :) "

We are seeking more official medical information about his condition, but hope someone out there will see this sweet young man and know his kind and loving spirit.

    Natalia (1)

    Girl, Born March 6, 2003

Natalia is a GORGEOUS little girl with brown hair and giant blue eyes.   She is 6 years old.   She is a very smart little girl, but her medical records show cognitive delay and some epileptic issues.   Her seizures are infrequent, and she does take medication to control it.   Her cognitive delay is likely a result of the seizures though.   She also has some strabismus (crossed/lazy eye), but this can be corrected in the US.  Natalia is able to speak, and when our missionary asked her if she would tell us something , she was trying to rehearse a little poem!  Natalia walks like a regular child.  She is a very nice little girl, happy and friendly and beautiful.   She will truly thrive in a family environment.

From her medical records:  epilepsy and flat feet

Natalia is already living in an institution, so we need a family for her right away!  She recently lost her adoptive family, so her situation is urgent!   She is STILL living at the "not so good" place, and is unable to walk on her own yet.  We need to get her out immediately.

    Drake

    Boy, Born September 9, 2002

    Eastern Europe

Diagnosis: Amblyopia (lazy eye) He had surgery on one eye in August 2009 and it is reported that he can see better since this procedure was completed. He still struggles with depth perception and visual orientation.  In addition to the Amblyopia, he also walks with a wide gait. He sees an orthopedic doctor, and an ophthalmologist for care.
Developmentally, he is making progress in all areas. He attends school. He knows his basic colors, can count to 10, knows how old he is, makes jokes, sings and recites short poems and likes to imitate the caregivers. He speaks in compound sentences, has spontaneous verbal expression and his speech is clear enough to be understood by others.  He is considered delayed but is making progress daily in every aspect of his development.

There is no "court"...only a beautiful "adoption ceremony".  Orphanage donations are not required.   Short, simple dossier, very short wait for travel once your dossier is submitted.  This is a very easy program, and we could get many children out of this country with minimal costs and easy travel requirements

                                                                   Stefan

    Boy, Born May 4, 2000

    Eastern Europe

Stefan is so handsome!  Stefan is diagnosed with ADHD. He takes medication daily to help control the ADHD.  He is considered mildly delayed, but this could simply be an institutional delay accompanied by a learning disability because of his ADHD.   He loves to be around other people, hugged and loved.  He is sensitive and can tell when someone doesn't like him him.  His behavior is much better in small groups, and he would significantly benefit from help in school, behavior therapy, and medication.

UPDATE: Stephan is attending an elementary school for children with special needs. He is in 2nd grade this year and is doing very well. He is receiving instruction in socialization, self-help skills, motor skills, communication and cognitive learning. He is doing very well in school and his teacher reports that he is progressing well. He enjoys school and gets along well with his peers.

ADHD is so common, and there are so many resources in our families and communities to help Stefan be all that he should be!

    Damon

    Boy, Born March 30, 2001

    Eastern Europe

What a darling little boy!   Damon is 7 years old now.  He struggled with mild neonatal asphyxiation at birth, and some respiratory distress.   He is a very healthy, normal little boy, but he is considered delayed.  Both of his parents are listed as "mentally delayed".

From our facilitator:  "Damon attends a kindergarten for special needs children.  He is a tall, active boy with brown hair and brown eyes.   He is calm and timid, but a very cheerful boy.  He is very dear, and there are a lot of adult persons who love him very much.   He is not a very demanding boy, and shows his happiness with small things that make him happy.   He prefers individual contact, and is cooperating well.  Most of the day he is playing alone, not trying to make contacts with other children.   His motor abilities are good, although he always needs support when going downstairs and out. In the backyard he is playing freely, but is always looking for a person who took him there.  When someone tries to compromise his playing he asks for help his preschool teacher calling her by her name.  But he also knows to defend by himself.   He started to talk/has several words.  He likes to play with car toys and to draw.  Together with his teacher he likes to look at the picture books.    He is extremely happy when you tell him nice words and hug him.    He is eating very well, independently.  He likes sweets the best!  He knows how to dress of his jacket and the shoes and knows his place at the table.  Not toilet trained yet.   He cries rarely, and is mostly in the good mood.  We think he acts well in the group, and is constantly progressing.  He makes contacts with the others easily and is responding to the stimulations of the others very well.  He needs complex stimulation of the adequate developmental specialists, and above all love and  stimulation of his forever family.  He is considered by his psychologist as significantly developmentally delayed.  His preschool teacher loves him very much, and thinks he will be a real joy any family who will adopt him."

There is no "court"...only a beautiful "adoption ceremony".  Orphanage donations are not required.   Short, simple dossier, very short wait for travel once your dossier is submitted.  This is a very easy program, and we could get many children with Down syndrome out of this country with minimal costs and easy travel requirements.

     Valerie (35)

    Girl, Born February 16, 2004

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

Isn't Valerie cute??  She is diagnosed with hypothyroidism.  She also has strabismus (crossed/lazy eyes).    She is diagnosed with developmental delay, and shows many of the facial characteristics of a child with FAS (Fetal Alcohol syndrome).  But she is a darling girl, very active, loving and affectionate!   She is facing the institution soon.  I hope a family is out there waiting just for her!

If you are unfamiliar with FAS, please spend some time researching this condition.  Just as with Down syndrome, FAS and FAE have a wide variation of effects on each child, both medically, physically, and cognitively.   This is typically dependent on how long during the pregnancy the mother consumed alcohol, and of course, how much.   There is no way to know this ahead of time.

     Kiril -3   (1)

    Boy, Born January 20, 2004

This spunky little angel is ready to melt your heart!   Kiril has blonde hair and hazel eyes, and a smile that can light up a room!  He was born with cerebral palsy.   One of our own adoptive families who visited with him in March 2008 said this about Kiril:  "  I’m a sucker for blondies and this little guy with his green-brown eyes is adorable!  He smiled and wanted to interact with me when I came into the room despite the cries of his neighbor.  His smiles were brief but heartwarming and then he was curious about what I was up to.  Each time the camera flashed he rewarded it with a great grin!  Except it was always right AFTER the flash so I couldn’t capture his sweet smile."

NEW UPDATE!:  What a blessing to still have visibility of Kirill, and know he is still fighting for a chance and waiting for his family to come for him.   He is regressing, as he is given little opportunity to stretch or be mobile at all.   He needs help for the strength to sit up now, but even still he wears a smile and a light in his eyes.  There is a loving, forever family out there for this boy!

    Julie

    Girl, Born April 1998

Love this beautiful Pippi Longstocking!    Julie is a sweet, quiet, but energetic, 11-year-old redhead with big blue eyes and freckles.  When she was placed in an orphanage 3 years ago, she did not want to speak.  Now she expresses herself reasonably well, with an occasional stutter.    She studies and recites well in her orphanage, but she is about 3 years behind her agemates.  She controls her actions well, is calm, likes to work, draw and play with toys.  She came to a 3-week summer camp in America and lived with a family, who thought she might have brain damage.  Julie was very patient in adult company, played nicely by herself or with other kids, showed determination and stamina in learning how to ice skate mostly by herself, and loved the water park, descending the steepest, scariest slide with gusto.  Julie has a sense of humor and a hearty laugh.  With a good ear for language, she should be able to learn English just fine, once a loving family gives her that opportunity.  She wants a family of her own.

    Dmitri (43)

Yuri has brown hair and blue eyes.   He is already living in the institution, but has only been there a short time.   He needs a family NOW to prevent any further regression in his cognitive abilities.  Right now, he is quite a bright boy!   Please give Yuri a chance!

    Girl, Born January 17, 2002

SIGNIFICANT RISK, PLEASE ADOPT ME SOON!!

Chrystyna is a beautiful, brown haired, brown eyed girl who deserves a chance at a better life!  Her official orphanage papers say she has developmental delays/difficulties from birth, but nothing more specific than that.  It is possible she has FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome).  Her biological mother  was deprived her parental rights in December 2004, and the biological father is not known.  Chrystyna has so much potential, and will be a precious gift to any family who adopts her.

Chrystyna is already living in an institution, so we need a family for her right away!

Chrystyna does have a sister.   Her name is Karen and she is listed on our siblings page.   She does not have any diagnosed special needs.   If you are interested in adopting both girls, you can do so, or Chrystyna is free to be adopted separately.   Please inquire!

UPDATE:  God has been watching Chrystyna.  She was recently transferred out of the institution into a wonderful facility, where they teach these children, work with them, and they appear very well cared for.  The difference in the few girls who were transferred OUT of the institution is incredible!   Please give these girls a second chance for a loving family!
